Welcome

Thanks for dropping by — I’m based up in the North West of England, and I spend a fair bit of my time out and about with my camera. I photograph all sorts, but I’ve got a real soft spot for big, sweeping landscapes, coastal scenes, and particularly quiet corners of the woods. I also love getting in close for macro shots, and I can never resist pointing my lens at animals – they’ve got so much personality.

I shoot a mix of film and digital – there’s something I love about both, but right now my current infatuation is with 4x5 Large Format. Feel free to have a nosy through my galleries, and if you fancy a bit of a read, the Journal link up top is where I share stories from behind the scenes, thoughts from the trail, and bits about the gear I use.

When I’m not out shooting, you’ll usually find me tinkering about with something photography-related. I’ve been dabbling in 3D printing – making handy little bits like sheet film drying racks and other custom tools. I’m also into the geeky side of things, like building picture profiles to speed up my film digitising workflow. My latest bit of "tinkerage" has been making some custom development programs for the AGO Film Processor — properly satisfying when it all comes together.

If you see something you like, I’ve got a range of prints for sale in my Prints section. Each one’s a proper moment frozen in time — perfect for adding a bit of atmosphere to your walls. If the photo you want isn't actually in my shop, drop me a line via one of my socials, or through the contact me form here!

I offer a film digitisation service, so if you've got some old films (colour negatives or slides, black and white including half frame, 35mm, medium format, or large format up to 8x10) then check out my film digitisation page here. Additionally, I also occasionally run workshops from time to time – it’s a great way to meet fellow photography lovers, learn a thing or two, and just enjoy the process together. Head over to the Workshops page if you’re interested in coming along to one or give me a shout if you want some 121 tuition.

Cheers for stopping by – I hope you enjoy having a browse through my work. If you’ve got any questions or fancy chatting about a project, don’t be shy – just give me a shout.
